Partnerships

Hope Partnership for Education is a North Philadelphia independent middle school and education center that provides a high quality, values-based education that supports and challenges students from adolescence to adulthood.

Learn, Empower, Grow Consulting Group is one of Hope Partnership for Education’s newest partners. The Group will be supporting adult education, workforce development efforts, and alumni career coaching naturally building on the legacy of Hope’s Adult Education program. Learn, Empower, Grow is excited to call Hope home as it is now houses our office.

The story of Abundant Life Family Services is one of unwavering dedication to the well-being and development of children in Pennsylvania. It’s a story of compassion, comprehensive care, and evidence-based practices that have touched the lives of countless families. With over 15 years of experience, we’ve honed our expertise in early intervention, ABA services, and child counseling to provide top-quality care.

Learn, Empower Grow has partnered with Abundant Life Family Services to provide an easier way to access early intervention and school-based services. Together we have developed a comprehensive Early intervention(EI) and School-Based program that focuses on building relationships with EI providers and School-Aged Therapists, professional development, and family engagement.

Energy Coordinating Agency’s (ECA) mission is to help people conserve energy and to promote a sustainable and socially equitable energy future for all.
Each year, ECA accomplishes the following for low-income families in Philadelphia:

  • Weatherize homes.
  • Repair or replace heaters.
  • Provide energy counseling and utility bill payment assistance for more than 6,000 families through our 15 Neighborhood Energy Centers
  • Conducts do-it-yourself home weatherization workshops for 2,000 families

 

Each year, through ECA’s nationally accredited IREC, ESCO, EPA, and American Red Cross programs, we train and credential 500 men and women, including veterans and returning citizens, whose diversity reflects the city we serve, for high demand, clean energy careers with a bright future. These include: BPI Building Energy Analyst, BPI WHASI, Solar Installer, Commercial HVAC, EPA Lead Safety, and OSHA 10.

Learn, Empower Grow has partnered with ECA to provide the community access to clean energy careers and provide community- based energy workshops. We have also partnered with ECA to create a children’s curriculum based on, water, energy, heating and cooling. Coming soon!

Gregory S. Cooke is Executive Producer and creator of Invisible Warriors: African American Women in World War II, a critically acclaimed, feature-length documentary that illuminates the experiences of 600,000 “Rosie the Riveters” – pioneers who courageously triumph over racism, sexism and classism to create job opportunities in industry and government for themselves and future generations of African American women. He is also the founder of Becky and Basil Educational Foundation that is a non-profit organization who mission is to educate current and future generations, primary through audio visual story-telling that illuminates the cultural and historical experiences of African Americans and peoples of African Descent

Learn, Empower, Grow has partnered with Charlie Horse Productions and Becky and Basil Educational Foundation to develop a STEAM curriculum based on the documentary Invisible Warriors for school-age and high school students. In addition will be working with Primary Sources with the National World War 2 museum located in New Orleans, LA, to teach educators how to use social studies/STEAM curriculum.

Learn, Empower, Grow has partnered with CareerLink to offer Child Development Associate classes for employment and training.

Holy Family University, located in Philadelphia, PA, a ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, offers education in the liberal arts and professions through graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree programs. As a Catholic University, Holy Family seeks direction and inspiration from the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, affirms the values of the Judeo-Christian tradition, and witnesses to the dignity of each person and the oneness of the human family. Holy Family University educates students to assume lifelong responsibilities towards God, society, and self.

Learn, Empower, Grow in partnership with the School of Education at Holy Family University received a Taylor Grant to develop a mentorship program focused on leadership and advocacy for Early Childhood Teachers and Directors.

Through vibrant grassroots partnerships that deliver leadership development and post-secondary education, I-LEAD engages and works alongside low-income residents aspiring to achieve economic and social equity, to help them liberate their full potential. Our client community of students includes all who strive to achieve economic and social equity.

Our team shares a deep sense of solidarity with our clients, because we have shared the challenges of overcoming economic deprivation and social isolation arising from systems of oppression and structural racism. Our clients experience these challenges as inequitable access to support for educational and economic achievement, to social and business opportunities, and to social and financial capital. Our clients live within urban neighborhoods of color in Southeast/Central Pennsylvania, extending from Philadelphia in the East to Lancaster and Coatesville in the West.

Through our partnership with I-lead, Learn, Empower, Grow has been able to bring access to adult education in the form of college classes and Hi-Set (state issued high school equivalency credential ) certificate in local communities.
